About Us

I founded AJ’s Bilingual Daycare in 2020 and became a licensed childcare provider in 2021. With my background in healthcare and a passion for early childhood education, I wanted to create a program where children feel safe, loved, and excited to learn every day with the added benefit of being a bilingual daycare. After a couple of years the babies and toddlers I first started with grew into almost pre-schoolers. My co-teacher and I had built such strong bonds with them and their families that it felt like we were all part of one big familia. I didn’t want to let go just yet, so I decided to grow along with them. That’s when the dream of opening up a pre-school became real. in 2025 , I proudly launched our first preschool program and was able to keep many of our children for another year of learning, laughter, and growth.

Director : Adriana Jimenez

My name is Adriana Jiménez. I was born in El Paso, Texas, with strong roots in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua. Family, culture, and language have always been at the center of my life, and they inspired me to open a bilingual daycare in my community. For me, bilingualism is more than speaking another language—it’s about opening doors to new cultures, friendships, and opportunities for children to grow.

At AJ’s Bilingual Daycare, we celebrate diversity every day. While I am proudly Mexican and my assistant is Puerto Rican, together we show children the richness of the Latino community and the importance of respecting and learning from all cultures.

I opened my daycare in 2021, after more than eight years of experience in healthcare, where I worked in nursing homes, post-operative hospital care, and supporting people with disabilities. That background gave me over 10 years of experience caring for others, which I now carry into childcare with compassion, safety, and dedication. I have also worked in preschool classrooms and am currently continuing my education in Early Childhood Education to strengthen my knowledge and skills as both an educator and provider.

Most importantly, I am a wife and mother of 4, and my own family has shaped the way I care for children. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your child in someone else’s hands, and my goal is to make every family feel welcomed, supported, and at home here.

Janalie Rivera

I was born in Puerto Rico and have always had a deep love for working with children. Today, I live in Indiana with my husband, Jorge, and our two daughters, Joyce and Jonielys. Over the years, I have built a strong foundation in education through a variety of roles. I have served as a teacher assistant in elementary schools, supported children with disabilities, and worked in Early Education, which deepened my passion for childcare.

My classroom experience includes two years as a preschool teaching assistant in Greenwood, one year in a kindergarten class here in Columbus, and substitute teaching in elementary schools throughout my daughters’ school years. Altogether, I bring more than seven years of hands-on experience in childcare and education. These experiences have equipped me with the skills, patience, and dedication to provide children with a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
